Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Gizzit app ("Gizzit", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the game, process purchases, and serve ads.

Information We Collect

• Account ID — an anonymous identifier we create so your progress and membership are tied to your account.
• Device ID — used for app integrity, fraud prevention, and abuse limiting.
• Purchases — records of in-app purchases and subscriptions (e.g. Ads-Free and Unlimited memberships), processed through Apple.
• Gameplay data — daily guesses, scores, streaks, achievements, and energy/try counts.
• Ad data — information related to rewarded ads you choose to watch, used to verify rewards and prevent fraud.

You sign in with Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In. Gizzit does not create or store a username, email address, or password — these providers verify your identity and return only an account identifier to us. We also do not collect your name, contacts, photos, or precise location.

How We Use Your Information

• App functionality — to run the daily game, sync your progress, grant tries, and deliver memberships you purchase.
• Analytics — to understand aggregate usage and improve the game. We use analytics in an aggregated form and do not use it to identify you personally.
• Ad serving — to show rewarded ads and verify that a reward was earned before granting tries.

Third-Party Services

Gizzit relies on a small number of trusted providers, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• Sign in with Apple — identity provider used to sign you in. Apple verifies your identity and returns an account identifier to Gizzit.
• Google Sign-In — identity provider used to sign you in. Google verifies your identity and returns an account identifier to Gizzit.
• Google AdMob — serves rewarded ads and performs server-side reward verification.
• Apple Game Center — optional leaderboards and achievements.
• Railway (PostgreSQL) — backend database hosting for your account, gameplay, and purchase records.

We share only the minimum data each provider needs to perform its function. We do not sell your personal information.

Data Retention & Deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account). Deleting your account removes your account ID, gameplay data, and associated identifiers.

Certain records required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons — such as purchase and refund records — may be retained in a de-identified form for the period required by law.

Children's Privacy

Gizzit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
