Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Gizzit app ("Gizzit", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the game, process purchases, and serve ads.

Information We Collect

• Account ID — an anonymous identifier we create so your progress and membership are tied to your account.
• Device ID — used for app integrity, fraud prevention, and abuse limiting. Our advertising partner also collects the device advertising identifier (IDFA) as described under Advertising below.
• Purchases — records of the Gold Gizzer auto-renewable monthly subscription, processed through Apple. We receive transaction identifiers and entitlement status from Apple; we never see or store your card or payment details.
• Gameplay data — daily guesses, solves, streaks, gizz counts, and your leaderboard display name.
• Ad data — information related to ads shown in the free tier, used to serve and measure ads and to verify rewards (see Advertising below).

You play as a guest (an account is created automatically) or sign in with Sign in with Apple to link your account. When you sign in, Apple's sheet requests your name and email; however, the app sends only Apple's signed identity token to our server, and we store only the stable Apple account identifier it contains. We do not store your name or email address, and Gizzit never sees a password. We also do not collect your contacts, photos, or precise location.

How We Use Your Information

• App functionality — to run the daily game, sync your progress, grant gizzes, and deliver the membership you purchase.
• Analytics — to understand aggregate usage and improve the game. We use analytics in an aggregated form and do not use it to identify you personally.
• Ad serving — to show ads in the free tier and verify that a rewarded ad was completed before granting gizzes.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Gizzit shows ads to free-tier players through Google AdMob — rewarded ads you choose to watch for extra gizzes, and occasional interstitial ads. To serve and measure these ads, AdMob collects the device advertising identifier (IDFA), advertising interaction data, approximate (coarse) location, and diagnostics.

If you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, ads may be personalized; if you decline, ads are served non-personalized. Third-Party Services

Gizzit relies on a small number of trusted providers, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• Sign in with Apple — optional identity provider used to link your account. Apple verifies your identity; we store only the stable account identifier from Apple's signed token.
• Apple App Store (StoreKit) — processes the Gold Gizzer subscription. Apple handles all payment details; we receive transaction identifiers and entitlement status only.
• Google AdMob — serves rewarded and interstitial ads and performs server-side reward verification, as described under Advertising above.
• Railway (PostgreSQL) — backend database hosting for your account, gameplay, and purchase records.

We share only the minimum data each provider needs to perform its function. We do not sell your personal information.

Data Retention & Deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account). Deleting your account removes your account ID, gameplay data, and associated identifiers.

Certain records required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons — such as purchase and refund records — may be retained in a de-identified form for the period required by law.

Children's Privacy

Gizzit is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
